She was born March 18, 1930 to Albert and Ethel Scott in Macon, GA.
Melba was a member of Lenox Avenue Church of God. She loved her church family and especially
loved spending time with her family. Her passion was cooking and she made very tasty meals.
Melba is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers (Kedrick, Carl, and Bill), one sister (Evelyn), three step-children (Brian, Karen, and Darryl) and 1 grandchild. She is survived by her husband of 42 years Lowell, 2 daughters Deborah (Brad) Brown, Patricia (Chris) Cothern, 4 sons Bill (Mary) Mobley, Jesse (Lilly) Mobley, Johnny (Judy) Mobley, John (Alice) Bruce, 1 brother Albert Scott, 4 sisters Frances (Greg) Walker, Shirley (Al) Kane, Mildred Campbell, Laura Ann Crooke, 22 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 6-8pm at Lenox Avenue Church of God, 3349 Lenox Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32254. Funeral services to be held at the church (Lenox Avenue Church of God) on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 10am with interment following services at Riverside Memorial Park.
