Moira E. Berg

Moira was born in Hollywood, California on August 1, 1933 to Don Marquis & Mary Frances

Osborne. Her family moved to northern California where she met and married the love of her

life John Howard Berg, with whom together she raised a family. In 1964 the Bergs moved from

Oakland, California to Jacksonville, Florida. After raising her family Moira went back to work

managing both a Harris Dry Cleaners and a Hallmark Card Shop in Jacksonville. She then worked

for over 20 years in the computer field with AT&T, transferring to Atlanta, Georgia along the way.

She retired in 1995, and in 2001 moved back to Jacksonville, Florida where she lived out her

retirement with her cat Babyboy.

Moira was predeceased by her father & mother, her husband of 39 years John Howard Berg,

brothers Sonny & Jimmy, and her daughter Jennifer Elizabeth Berg Smith, who passed away

just 11 days prior. She is survived by her sister Mary Ann Ralsten(Doug), her daughter Mary

Frances Berg Iwanowski (Gary), her son John Howard Berg Jr., grandson John Howard Berg III,

granddaughter Erin Elizabeth Smith Rayner (Bobby) and her great-grandchildren Nicholas &

Chelsey Rayner. Moira was known for having a strong personality and it was that quality that

caused her to search and find Jehovah in her latter years. Through her faith she had complete

confidence in the ransom sacrifice of Jesus Christ which helped her to face death without fear.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be

missed by all who knew her.
