Nettie Belle Nabers, loving mother and sister, went to be with our Lord on Friday the 6th of October, after an extended health battle. She was 86 years young. Born February 7th 1937 in Red Bay Alabama, the eldest child of Bessie and Leslie Nabers. She spent her life focused on family and as the oldest child, spent many of her younger years helping to raise her younger brothers and sister. She primarily attended Belgreen High School in Russellville, Alabama, but graduated from Suwannee High School in Live Oak Florida. She worked for many years for Panty Pride and eventually retired from Publix Grocery in 2001. Although she lived the majority of her life in Jacksonville, with numerous family members attending the University of Florida, having been born in Alabama, she remained true to her family roots and was a lifelong fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. If you listen carefully, you can still hear her yelling, Roll Tide!
She is survived by her daughter/son in law, Etta Joanne/Rustie Hibbard, Fleming Island, FL her son, James Clayton Hambright of Jacksonville, her brother Benjamin Nabers of Jacksonville and sister Angela Hunt of Gainesville, FL along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her younger brothers Jack, Frank and Ronnie Nabers.
