Nettie Ruth Stevens

Nettie Ruth "Peggy" Stevens went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Friday, August 13, 2021. Peggy was born in Jacksonville, Florida, the daughter of the late Lester Raulerson and Edna Ferguson, resided in Jacksonville most of her life, and was married to the love of her life, Arnold Stevens.

In her 50s, Peggy, obtained her Realtor/Brokers license, and worked with several different builder/contractors for many years, retiring in 2009. Peggy was a member of East Eleventh Street Baptist Church and a member of O.E.S. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a friend to all who knew her. Peggy was steadfast in expressing her love of Jesus and quick to remind everyone of His love for each of us. She was known for her bubbly personality, friendly hugs, brilliant smile, and beautiful red hair. .

Peggy was preceded in death by her father, Lester Eugene Raulerson, Sr., mother, Edna Mae Ferguson, sister, Leona J. Minor and brother, Lester Eugene Raulerson, Jr. Surviving family include her loving husband of 67 years, Arnold Stevens, daughter, Stormy (Wayne) Rosseland, son, Keith (Kathy) and son, Scott (Bianca), 3 grandchildren (Lacy, Cody, and Gabriel), and 2 great-grandchildren (Kason and Kollins), and her constant companion her beloved Reese.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Friday, August 20, 2021 in Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 North Main Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32206, with Rev. Jordan Messer officiating.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East 11th Street Baptist Church, 1700 E. 11th Street, Jacksonville Florida 32206.
