Norberto Viray Sitjar, age 64, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. He was born on March 19, 1959 in Cavite City, Philippines, to Roberto Encarnacion Sitjar, Sr. and Leonora V. Viray. Noberto worked as a welder, and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Jacksonville.
Noberto is preceded in death by his parents, Roberto, Sr. and Leonora; one brother, Oscar V. Sitjar; and one nephew, Robert A. Sitjar. He is survived by his siblings and their spouses Myrla (Danny) Estoy, Serafin (Carmelita) Sitjar, and Roberto Sitjar, Jr. (Estrellita); nieces and nephews Eleanore and Michael Estoy, Christopher (Taylor) Sitjar, Michael Sitjar, Kristine Sitjar, Kenneth (Sierra) Sitjar, Berlinore and Jeffrey Sitjar; one half-sister, Myra Sitjar Mills and her children C.J., Shaun, and Ryan Mills; step-mother, Huong Sitjar; step-sister, Adele Ma, and her children Kelsea and Matt; and many extended family members.
A visitation for Norberto will be held Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Reverend Alexander Carandang will serve as officiant of services.
