Palmer E. Minor, age 27, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born January 12, 1987 to the Robert “Eddie” and Karen (Wiles) Minor in Orange Park, FL. Palmer was a 2005 graduate of Bartram Trail High School. He attended FSU studying Organic Chemistry. Palmer worked for Sweet Tomatoes. Palmer was preceded in death by his father Robert “Eddie” Minor, paternal grandparents Palmer and Doris Minor, and maternal grandfather Robert Wiles. He is survived by his mother Karen M Jones (Robert); one brother, Austin Minor; maternal grandmother Arlene Wiles; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins of both the Minor and Wiles families. Graveside services will be held March 14, 2014 at 1:30 pm at the Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. In lieu of flowers family is requesting that memorial contributions be made in Palmer’s honor to Young Life of St. Augustine, PO Box 9012, St Augustine, FL 32085 or Salvation Army, 1258 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32250 or City Rescue Mission, 426 S McDuff Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32254. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Hardage- Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
