Raymell Smith Pyrtle, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, August 28th, 2023. She was born on June 16th, 1940, in Stokes County, North Carolina, to the late George W. and Gladys Hall Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Pyrtle, sister, Remonia Gillie, brothers Elder Warren Smith and Edward Smith.
Surviving her memory are her loving sons; Eddie, Thomas and Tommy Ray (wife Jessica), her grandchildren as well as her pride and joy; JR, Autumn and Kyle (Kenzie), her sisters; Doris Mabe (Morris), Mable Booth (James), Carolyn Brown and Melinda Key (Jeff), her brothers; William Smith (June), Donnie Smith (Rae Neil) and numerous nieces and nephews..
A visitation for Raymell will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
A Celebration of her Life will occur Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225, followed immediately by a committal service at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens.
