She was born on January 29th, 1947 in Barangay San Vicente, Leganes, Iloilo, Philippines
A longtime resident of Jacksonville, Florida, she was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family and those around her. She found great joy in gardening, cooking, and nurturing others, especially the neighborhood children who were always welcome in her home. Her kindness and generosity left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She was a faithful member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church since 1982 and was actively involved in the Senior Citizen Association, where she built many meaningful friendships over the years.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 36 years, Ronald S. Barroquillo; her daughter, Rhona J. Barroquillo; and her siblings, Victor Sonido Jagunap, Victoria J. Griño, Maria J. Garrido, Lilia J. Sun, Enrique S. Jagunap, Dorothy J. De Roja, and Rachel J. Herrera.
She is lovingly remembered by her son, Ronald R. Barroquillo II; her daughter, Reba S. Barroquillo (Kralisz); and her cherished granddaughter, Ke’alani Mikylah Barroquillo McGuire, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
A visitation will be held from 6pm-8pm Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd N.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10am, Friday, May 8, 2026 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church 11665 Fort Caroline Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
Interment will follow at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens St. John’s Bluff with a reception being held after at Holy Spirit Family Life Center.
