

Rhonda Lee “Cookie” Hostetler, age 67, of Jacksonville, FL passed away on Friday, July 10, 2020. Rhonda was born in St. Vincent’s Hospital July 27, 1952. Rhonda went to school in Yulee, FL and graduated with a general education diploma. She married William “Bill” Hostetler on February 29, 2000.
Cookie worked for food and other service related fields for The Laundry Station, Michael’s Distribution Center, Murray Hill Motors, Southern Packaging, Duval County Public Schools and Ayers Restaurant.
She was a member of Westside Christian Church and enjoyed volunteering with food distribution, food pantries and Gleaner’s Dispatch. Cookie also liked baking, thrift shopping, going to the beach especially Daytona, Karaoke and word search books.
She is survived by daughter Donna Brown Sutton; son Jason Tyner (Tabitha); step-son Chris Hostetler; step-daughter Kim Hostetler Boyer (Brandon); grandchildren Emily Davis of Jacksonville, Jonathan Davis of Fernandina Beach, Vince Hattabaugh (Angie) of Green Cove Springs, Mallory Boyer and Lukas Boyer of Mandarin; great-grandchild Ollie Hattabaugh. Cookie was also survived by siblings Mary Harris of Macclenney, Linda Rogers (Bob) of Jacksonville, Pam Galvan of Green Cove Springs and Patti Marshall (Don) of Kingsland, GA and eleven nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her father Palmer Theo Willis of Tifton, GA; mother Bill Long Willis of Jacksonville, FL; brother Larry Willis of Jacksonville, FL and nephew Larry Willis, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL.
A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11:00 am on Friday, July 24, 2020. Family and friends gathering will take place one hour prior to service at Westside Christian Church, 10123 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. Inurnment Service will be held at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205 following the Celebration of Life Service.
