Robert L. Herrington Jr.

HERRINGTON Jr., Robert Lloyd, age 88, passed on Sunday, December 13, 2015. Bobby, as he was known by all, was born to Robert and Esther (Bragg) Herrington on September 13, 1927 in Jacksonville, FL and resided in Jacksonville for most of his life. He was a Sergeant in the Marine Corps, a veteran of World War II, and retired from the Naval Aviation Depot, where he worked as a Production Controller. His activities, interests, and memberships included gardening, history, the Masons, and the Riverside Garden Club. Bobby was a born-again Christian and a member and deacon of Hart Haven Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Catherine Herrington, and his parents (above). Survivors include niece Cheryle Touchton (Bob), nephew Vaughan Milligan (Louise), four great nieces and nephews: Chris Touchton (Whitney), Kelley Pekarek (Erick), Jim Milligan (Lauren), Bill Milligan; six great-great nieces and nephews: Noah, Ava and Ella Touchton and Abigaile, Frederick and Georgia Pekarek, cousins Debbie Herrera, David Bragg (Aeri), Randy Bragg (Fran), and Sandra Arnold (Don). Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jax. FL 32205. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 22, 2015. Both will be held at the funeral home with Rev.
