

Robert George Kemp passed away on May 30, 2016. Bob was born on August 7, 1945 in Gainesville, Florida. He was a member of Mandarin Seventh-day Adventist Church. He retired from BellSouth Advertising and Publishing Company in 2005 and Florida Air National Guard Fighter Wing 125 in 1996.
During his retired years, he dedicated countless hours to helping others. Some of the organizations he devoted his time to included St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Veterans Administration, Family Promise, Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament, and The Players Championship. Known for his selfless nature, Bob was always quick to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His inviting smile and welcoming demeanor never allowed him to go anywhere without making a friend. Bob enjoyed fishing and was an avid Florida Gator fan. He will be greatly missed by the many who loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Paula Kemp; daughter, Amy (Ken) Watkins; stepdaughter, Kim (Scott) Petersen; brother, James (Jane) Kemp; sister, Eve Syler; grandchildren, Chloe, Kayce, Ceci and John Watkins, Andrew (Kara) and Rachel Petersen; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home at 7242 Normandy Boulevard at 10 a.m. on Sunday, June 5, 2016. A graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, family request that a donation be made to the charity of your choice.
