

Robert E. Leverock, Sr., 83, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family. Born on July 13, 1942, in Aruba, Robert immigrated to the United States while in the 5th grade and ultimately made Jacksonville, Florida his lifelong home.
Robert graduated from Paxon Senior High School in 1961. In 1963, he married the love of his life, Martha Mashburn Leverock, and together they built a loving home and raised their two sons, Robert Jr. and Michael, on Jacksonville’s Westside.
Above all else, Robert was a devoted husband, father, and provider. He was a kind, patient, and loving dad who dedicated his life to giving his boys every opportunity to succeed. Whether coaching youth sports at Normandy Park, cheering from the sidelines at Bishop Kenny, teaching life lessons, or making sacrifices to ensure they received a strong Catholic education, Robert’s greatest joy was always his family. His sons will forever remember his steady guidance, generous heart, and unconditional love.
Robert worked for many years as a Car Inspector for CSX Transportation, retiring after a long and respected career. He also proudly served his country in the United States Navy Reserve for 20 years.
Outside of work and family life, Robert had a passion for entrepreneurship and spent many years trading at the Ramona Flea Market, where he enjoyed meeting people and building friendships. He also loved fishing and treasured those moments with his sons and mother.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Adelena Leverock, and his brothers, Irvin, Ronald, and Pete Leverock.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Leverock and Robert E. (Julie) Leverock, Jr.; his grandchildren, Jacob and Mack; his sisters, Mary and Sharon; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.
Robert’s legacy is not measured by titles or possessions, but by the love he gave his family, the values he instilled in his sons, and the countless lives he touched through his kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion. He will be forever loved and never forgotten.
The family also would like to thank his caretakers at Discovery Village Deerwood. for the kindness and compassion they showed towards Robert during his final years.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 8523 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32221, on May 15, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with the Committal Service at Riverside Memorial Park, Jacksonville, FL 32205, on May 15, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
