Robert Carroll Ruffin, Jr., age 69, passed away on October 24, 2017. He was born May 28, 1948 to Mary Partridge Ruffin and Robert Ruffin, Sr. He graduated from Lee High School, class of 1966 and went on to attend the University of Florida for a short time. Bob took a job with Barnet Bank in the IT department and it was there that he met his wife, Linda. Bob changed his career path and after several years with the bank he was hired in the maintenance department at the Ponte Vedra Inn and Country Club. He loved his job and his coworkers, maintaining friendships with some of them after his retirement.
Bob's passions were guns, the Gators, golf, guitars and Southern rock and roll music. He was always there whenever anyone needed help and was the guy who had all the tools and could fix most anything. Bob was also serving as President of his homeowner's association.
He was predeceased by his parents and his wife. Survivors include his sister-in-law, Edna Rose; niece, Tammy Williams; and his friends and neighbors.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Boulevard.
