Roger Dell Hooper, age 64, of Jacksonville, FL passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024. He was born in Marietta, Georgia on October 26, 1959 to Charlie Hooper and Ethel Robertson. He married Marcella Saben Hooper on July 20, 1985.
Roger worked as a Silk Screen Printer but in his leisure time enjoyed fishing and camping and was a Georgia Bulldog fan. He was a great Husband, Father and Grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Marcella Hooper; son, Christopher Hooper and daughter-in-law, Rachael Hooper; daughter, Bethel Hooper; grandson, Gabriel M. Hooper; sisters, Peggy Davies, Polly McCoy, Becky Mitrosky and brother-in-law, Paul Mitrosky; and brother, Bobby Hooper.
Preceded in death by mother, Ethel Robertson Hooper and father, Charlie Hooper.
A visitation for Roger will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will occur Friday, January 26, 2024 at 2:00 PM, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A committal service will occur Friday, January 26, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
