Roland Joseph Evans, 61, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on March 27, 2016. He was born in Abbeville, Louisiana on October 1, 1954. Roland Evans graduated from Abbeville High School. He was married to Cindy Vidallier Evans on February 19, 2011.
Roland Evans worked in Postal Services for New Orleans, Louisiana. He was also a member of VFW, and had a passion for fishing, cooking, spending time with family and friends.
Roland is preceded in death by his parents Thelma and James Evans Sr., and his brother Leonard Evans.
Roland is survived by his loving wife Cindy Evans, his children: Tratwyla Evans of Abbeville Louisiana, Rashanda Evans Campbell (John), Shanoa Evans Nolan (Brandon), Christie Mouton (Derrick) of Ruston, Louisiana, Chayanne Bourgeois of New Orleans, Jacob Dolder (Lisa) and Randy Dolder (Jennifer) of Pennsylvania, 12 grandkids, and 1 brother: James Evans Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, and plenty of friends. He was loved by all. His favorite pets were peanut and Lil’ Mama.
