

He was born on November 13, 1949, in Sorsogon, Philippines, to Benjamin Demdam and Felicitas Ferreras Demdam.
Romeo proudly served in the United States Navy as an Aviation Mechanic. His military career took him across the globe, including assignments in San Diego, California (1975); Cecil Field in Jacksonville, Florida (1975–1978); NAS Pensacola, Florida (1978–1983); NAS San Diego, California (1983–1986); NAS Hawaii (1986–1989); and NAS Jacksonville, Florida (1989–1992). He also served his country during the Gulf War.
On February 14, 1978, Romeo married Elvira Demdam and together they share 3 wonderful children.
He received his education from Sorsogon Trade School and FEATI University in Manila, Philippines. Following his retirement from the Navy, Romeo continued his work as an aviation mechanic instructor with Lockheed Martin, including time spent overseas in Pohang, South Korea, and later with Logistical Services International, where he worked in Pakistan.
Romeo had a deep passion for life and a wide range of interests. He was an avid chess player and proudly won the Florida State Chess Championship in 1993. He was also a tennis enthusiast who competed in the senior division at Boone Park in Avondale, a martial artist who earned a black belt, a lover of sports cars, a fan of sweets, and an avid viewer of action movies. He also loved animals especially dogs. They were his first grandchildren. He held great pride in his Filipino heritage and cherished his homeland. Known for his sharp style, sense of humor, and generosity, Romeo left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Romeo was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where his children attended primary school, and later Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Elvira Demdam; his three children, Angel Borja (husband Jason Borja), Mae Bodine (husband Michael Bodine), and Kawelo Demdam; and his three grandchildren, Jacob Borja, Julian Borja, and Emerson Bodine, along with many cherished nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Demdam and Felicitas Ferreras Demdam; and his siblings, Chalmer Demdam, Gilmore Demdam, and Juliette Demdam.
Romeo will be remembered for his service, his strength, his humor, and the deep love he had for his family and heritage.
