

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Eva Mae Sapp, and his two brothers, Mark and Mike. He leaves behind his loving wife, Debbie, with whom he shared a joyful and devoted marriage of nearly 50 years, with their milestone anniversary just one month away. He is also survived by his beloved daughter, Saralyn Grass (Gabe), who was his pride and joy, and his cherished granddaughter, Cheyanne Imani-Grass (Zion). His sisters, Denese Mealor and Darla Morgan, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends, will also forever mourn his passing.
Ronnie had a distinguished career, retiring from the Sheet Metal Local Union #435, and he later ran his own successful home repair business for many years. A man of many talents, Ronnie obtained his contractor’s license and built the house where his family currently resides—a home filled with love and memories.
He was an avid sports fan, with a special passion for the Jacksonville Jaguars, finding great joy in cheering them on, especially during their victories. Ronnie was a gentle soul who loved his family dearly. He and his daughter, Saralyn, shared a special bond, often enjoying fun outings together and going to the movies.
Ronnie was a man who loved to entertain, always opening his home to family for every holiday. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife, Debbie, and had a special fondness for the beach, where he liked to surf fish. Ronnie cherished the friendships he made throughout his life, sharing countless memories with those dear to him.
Services are being handled by Hardage Giddens Riverside. Per his request, he will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held Sunday, August 25, at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Guests are invited to come starting at 1:30 p.m. for visitation, and food and beverages will be provided after the service.
