Sandra Kay Zella

Sandra Kay Zella, a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2025 with her children at her side.

Sandra was born in Seattle, WA on November 26, 1946, grew up in Cabin Creek, WV along with her sisters, the late Jacqueline Davis and the late Sue Courson. She moved to Jacksonville, FL in the early 70's to be close to her sisters and to raise her family. She spent the last years of her life living with her loving son in Middleburg, FL. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Bailey from York, SC; her son David Foote from Middleburg, FL and her 2 grandsons, Zachary Foote and Caleb Foote.

During her life she had a variety of jobs from building fiberglass grating, to selling real-estate to a being a security officer; but her favorite job was being retired. One of her joys in retirement was sitting out on the porch enjoying the sounds of nature and the watching the world around her. Her unwavering love and support will be deeply missed, but her legacy of strength and independence will live on in her children. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service for Sandra will be held Friday, August 8, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, followed by a committal service from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM.
