Mrs. Sophie D. Richardson, 83, passed away October 17, 2011. A native of Osprey, FL, she had been a resident of Jacksonville for the past 56 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Paul Richardson, and two sisters, Ruth Wiggins and Hazel Wilkerson. Left to cherish her memory are 2 sons, Lee Richardson (Sunny) and Daniel Richardson (Linda); a daughter, Patty Lord; 9 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends TODAY, from 6 until 7 PM, at Town and Country Chapel. The funeral service will be Thursday, October 20, 2011, at 11 AM, also at the chapel, with Elder Gordon Smith officiating. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International. Memorialization will be by cremation.
