Stewart E. Poore, age 74, passed on Dec. 4, 2015, and took that imaginary ride. He resided in Jacksonville, FL and was born June 24, 1941 to Moses & Kate Poore. He was a dedicated employee of Merita Bread for 35 years in Richmond VA, Fayetteville NC and Jacksonville FL. He started as a mechanic and quickly rose to oversee the entire fleet of vehicles during his career. He was much loved & respected by his coworkers, friends and neighbors. He was a champion demolition derby driver, drag racer, and a master mechanic. His passion was working on cars his entire life. He will be missed, but never forgotten. He will live on in stories and memories that we will all share forever. He is survived by his beloved wife Sheryl, Brother Tommy, children Bret, Lonnie and Jennifer, grandchildren Stewart, Lauren & Richard, great-grandchildren McKenzie, Landon & Aiden and a multitude of extended family and friends. The family of Stewart will receive friends and family at 6-8 pm Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
