Teresita Barrera Parin was a vibrant, joyful, and deeply loved woman whose warmth and spirited presence touched everyone who knew her. She passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, but lived her life with energy, laughter, and an open heart, and her legacy is one of love, family, and celebration.
Teresita retired from the State of Florida in 2010, closing one chapter of dedicated service and opening another filled with adventure and joy. Retirement gave her the freedom to embrace what she loved most—traveling, especially her cherished trips to San Diego. Each visit was marked by reunion, laughter, and celebration, as Teresita never arrived quietly. Every trip was an occasion to party, dance, and enjoy life with those she loved.
Her passions were many and reflected her joyful spirit. Teresita loved dancing and singing, filling rooms with music and laughter. She was an excellent cook who delighted in preparing meals for family and friends, creating not just food but memories around the table. She enjoyed playing cards, tending to her garden, and savoring the simple pleasures that made life beautiful.
Above all else, Teresita treasured her family. She was married to the late Bernardo C. Parin, 25 loving years. She was a devoted mother to her two children, Brendon Parin and Bernadette Gore, and an adoring grandmother to her four beloved grandchildren: Katelyn Fischer, Benjamin Parin, Zita Gore, and Avery Gore. Her love for them was unwavering, and she took great pride in every moment spent together, whether through shared laughter, heartfelt conversations, or joyful gatherings.
Teresita will be remembered for her zest for life, her generous heart, and her ability to turn ordinary moments into celebrations. She leaves behind a family who adored her, friends who cherished her, and countless memories filled with love, card games, potlucks, dancing, and joy.
Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit lives on in the laughter she inspired, the love she gave so freely, and the joyful way she lived her life. Teresita Barrera Parin will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
