Terry was born December 8, 1956 and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. After graduating from high school, he joined the US Army. He moved to Jacksonville, Florida in the early ‘90s. He was passionate about the protection of wild animals, enjoyed the beach and being with his dogs. Above all, Terry loved his LORD, Country and Family!
Terry was preceded in death of his loving parents, Floyd and Rose Phillips, sister, Floy Ann Wright and brothers James “Jimmy” Franklin Phillips, USMC and William David Phillips, USMC,. He leaves behind a loving family, sister, Linda Kay Jackson (Danny) of Brighton, Tennessee, brother, Herman Oneal Phillips of Collierville, Tennessee, sister Rosetta Ann Tolbert (Eugene) of Jacksonville, Florida, a number of nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Terry’s cremation is being handled by Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home with final resting place at the Jacksonville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a Veterans charity or your local animal shelter.
