Terry L. Sowder, age 76, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 23, 2023 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born to her parents, John James Sr. and Evelyn Knotts on September 11, 1947 in Akron, Ohio.
She was a graduate of Fletcher High School and lifelong resident of Jacksonville Beach, Florida. She worked as a teacher’s assistant with the Duval County School system, a title clerk at George Moore Chevrolet and devoted caregiver to her two grandchildren.
Terry is survived by her loving husband, Allen B. Sowder of 57 years. She has two daughters, Carolyn (Harlan) Peterson and Dianna (Garry) Brashear; and granddaughter Ashley and grandson Andrew.
She was deeply devoted to her family and loved ones. Our beloved mother, wife, and nana will live forever in our hearts and memories.
A graveside service for Terry will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
