He was a Navy Veteran, having served for 24 years during WWII, Korea and the Vietnam War era. Thomas also worked for the Duval County School District for 22 years in the audio and visual shop. He was a family man as well as an avid fisherman.
Thomas is preceded in passing by his wife of 63 years of marriage, Ruby J. Forbes, his parents and siblings.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida, 32205.
