Walter "Cobb" Perry, age 90, passed away on March 1, 2017 in Orange Park, Florida. Walter was born on May 27, 1926 in Alma, Georgia to Wilvin and Ora Mae Perry. Throughout his life, he worked in the welding industry and was a boilermaker. Cobb's hobbies included hunting for deer, fishing, playing poker, and was a baseball fan of the Atlanta Braves. Cobb was a loving father, grandfather, and brother and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
Cobb was preceded in death by his wife, Louise, in 2010. Survivors include his sons, Gene Perry (Mignon) and Bruce Perry (Angie); grandchildren Brandon, Jennifer, Corey, Christian, Conner, Taylar, Terrah, and Layne; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Myrtle O'Quinn; and one brother, Ralph Perry.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday morning at Town and Country Funeral Home.
