Wanda G. Jacobs, age 86, passed away on June 5, 2016. Wanda was born on November 13, 1929 in Lake City, FL to Charles and Effie Jones. She graduated from Baker County High School and was the class Treasurer. She married Walter H. Jacobs on February 16, 1951. They were both members of Blanding Boulevard Baptist Church since 1976.
Wanda is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Walter Jacobs; two daughters, Cynthia Willett and Melissa Chapman; siblings Betty Reider and Barry Jones; grandchildren Sean Watson, Dawn Allman, Allison Ice, Scott H. Chapman, Zachary Chapman, Caroline Chapman, Henry Chapman, and Emmaline Chapman; great-grandchildren Jacob, Jessica, Jenna, and Johanna Taylor, Caleb and Emily Wilkerson, and Adian, Mackenzie, and Kelcie Watson.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 11:00am at Hardage-Giddens, Town and Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida 32205. Visitation with the family will begin one hour prior at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
