POTTS-William H. “Sonny” Potts, 75, passed away March 18, 2012. Born in Sherwood, TN, he was a longtime resident of Jacksonville. He was a retired machinery superintendent and attended the River of Jacksonville Church. Sonny enjoyed amateur radio, he was a HAM operator and his call sign was WA4HPS.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Faye Potts.
Survivors include his children, Anita Smith (Doyle), Jackie Sanders (Steve), William Potts, Jr., and Lori Begley (Bob); brother, Charles Potts (Brenda); grandchildren, Adam, Michael, Christopher, Shawn, Lindsey, Jennifer, Jeremy, Francesca, and David; and great-grandson, Landon.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012, at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 N. St. Johns Bluff. Interment will follow in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
