Jack Thompson Jr., age 68, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born June 8, 1946 in Jacksonville, Florida to William Jack and Cora (Bell) Thompson Sr. Jack was a veteran of the United States Army. He was also a member of the Inman Memorial United Methodist Church. Jack retired after 32 years from the United States Postal Service. Jack loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was a member of the Crawford Hunting Club. He will be missed dearly by his loving wife of 35 years Pat Thompson; two sons John Claxton and Travis Claxton; one sister Mary C. Thompson; mother-in-law Margaret Crawford; brother-in-law Kenny Crawford (Jackie); sister-in-law Brenda Segers (Buster);and four very special nieces and nephews: Cale Crawford, Dylan Crawford, Rachel Segers, and Austin Segers.
