I am so sorry for your loss and pray that you find comfort in knowing that you have each other and the lord to help you through the days ahead. You all will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Bill was my patient for years..I was his hygienist.  I've been practicing for over 20 years and some patients are just special.  He was one of those.  I always looked forward to seeing him, talking with him..it was a visit on the front porch...but we did get his dental cleaning done!  When I asked him how he was he would always say, "Aw, I'm fair to meddlin I guess".  .."Well, that makes two of us Mr. Bill"!  We would laugh, and I guess he never knew, but he put a smile on my face that would last for the rest of the day.  I was just a small part of his world and he mine.  I just want you to know I will miss him.  He was a light, making everyone a little better.

I was saddended to read about Billy's passing in todays T-U. Billy and I were boyhood friends from about the ist grade. We went to the same church, were in the same boy scouts and sea scouts together. He came from alarge loving hard working family...His mother use to make donuts that all the siblings would sell all over Palatka, they were the best I've ever had. He and I and other friends went to NAS  Naval Base for a sea scout weekend stay and he fell in love with it and decided then he would be joining the Navy... His parents had this Model T ford that he would drive all us around town in. There were just so many memories.  I have had  only one phone call contact with Billy after he joined the navy and that was about 4 years ago when we talked on the phone for nearly an hour catching up on our lives...

He was a shy, gentle, and honorable person. No one could have had a better boyhood friend than him...While I knew all of his childhood family I did not meet his own family. I want to wish them all strength and faith that Billy will always rest in peace and may his memory be everlasting.

To the family, My thoughts and prayers go out all of you. We all know that your parents are together again the way they loved it and they are both watching over all of there loving family. We know its not easy but GOD will help each and ever day.

"Uncle Bill" you will be missed by everyone. Know that your at peace you can enjoy your time with all of the loved ones who has gone before  you. To my cousins My thoughts and Prayers are with you all.

I will always remember him as a kind and gentle man who welcomed me into his home and family. I can still hear him singing to his beautiful Joanie and I imagine him now singing to her again with a back up of angels. I may no longer be part of the family but I loved and respected him and I know he will be missed by many.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it's the memories of you that are the most precious.
