Mr. Wonnie L. Lloyd, 88, passed away April 7, 2011. He was a retiree from Georgia Pacific, where he was employed for a number of years. He held membership in the Paxon Revival Center Church, where he served faithfully as a deacon, under the leadership of Pastor Steve Dobbs. Mr. Lloyd was also a veteran of the U S Navy.
He is survived by a son, Gerald Lloyd (Doris); daughters, Sarah Lewis (Bill) and Alice Loper (Cecil); stepchildren, David Moore (Beth), Alvin Moore (Stephanie) and Rhonda Lawrence (Sam); 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Estelle Lloyd; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 11, 2011, at Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home, from 6 until 8 PM. The funeral service for Mr. Lloyd will be Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at 11:00 AM, in the Paxon Revival Center Church, 5461 Commonwealth Ave., with Pastor Steve Dobbs officiating. Interment will follow in Homeland Cemetery, Folkston, GA.
