Anna “Jeanette” Mustonen, age 55, of Waterford, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2025. Born on December 14, 1969, in Stockholm, Sweden, Jeanette was the cherished daughter of Barbro and James G. Mustonen. She graduated from Waterford Mott High School and later pursued a career as a Medical Assistant, balancing her dedication to helping others with her passion for getting lost in a good book.
Jeanette’s magnetic smile and captivating laugh could light up any room. She had a unique and vibrant spirit that drew people to her. She was genuinely unique, with a love for animals, gardening (especially weeding), and heavy metal music. Her friends and family will always remember her for the joy she brought to their lives and her unwavering friendships. Jeanette’s hope to inspire positive change led her to become an activist for the people. Beyond her professional and activist endeavors, Jeanette was always there for those in need, generously giving her time and energy to friends and family.
Jeanette is survived by her beloved daughter Shelby Peckham; her favorite sister and best friend Aimee Kurry Mustonen; her nephew Andrew Kurry; her niece Lily Kurry; her grandchildren Wyatt and Nora; her cousin Tessa; and many dear friends.
She is now reunited with her parents, Barbro and James G. Mustonen.
