Gregory Gilson

Gregory Gilson, age 53, of Waterford; passed away suddenly on April 28, 2011. Mr. Gilson worked in the engineering field for over 30 years, including working at Modern Engineering in Troy and Pontiac. He loved riding his Harley Motorcycle, waterskiing and spending time with family and friends. He will be sadly missed. Dear son of both the late Jack and Shirlee Gilson; beloved step-son of Peggy Gilson; caring brother of Gale (Martin) McDerment, proud uncle “Bubba” of Megan McDerment and Matthew McDerment. Greg also leaves behind his beloved dog Max “Buddy”. The Mass of Resurrection will be Monday, May 2, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alan Church, 3077 Glouchester Drive, Troy, MI 48084. The visitation hours will be on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. along with a Rosary Service at 6 p.m. at the Pixley Funeral Home Godhardt-Tomlinson Chapel, 2904 Orchard Lake Road, Keego Harbor. Greg will lie in state at the church on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the Funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial envelopes will be available at the funeral home for St. Jude Children’s Hospital and ALS Foundation.
