Kenneth William Davern

Kenneth Davern, 75, of Oxford, Michigan passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026 surrounded by family. Born May 1, 1950 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Kenny was the son of the late Doris and Michael Davern. He was preceded in death by his son Kenneth Michael Davern, sister Brenda Manvell, brother Donald Davern and sister-in-law Dawn Sheedy. He is survived by his loving wife Carol Mitchell, daughters Angela Schmidt, Kelly (Josh) Hershberger, Kerry (Mike) Vanderlinden, Katherine (Tom) Clancy, and Sarah (Kyle) Opperman, grandchildren Emily, Delaney, Austin, Miles, Roger, Natalie, and Jackson, and great-grandchildren Landen, Everleigh, and Vesta.

Kenny was known as the "Nicest Man". He devoted his life to taking care of his family, friends, and community. He was a lifelong member of the Metamora Lions Club. He retired from Teamsters 299 as a car hauler with Cassens Transport. Kenny was always a happy guy while spending time with family and friends traveling, boating, enjoying time at his lake house or just having coffee or a beer with his many friends. His bright smile will be deeply missed by so many.

Kenny will be cremated and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
