Larry Edward Townsend

Larry Edward Townsend, age 74, went home to be with the Lord on February 25, 2013. Beloved son of the late Edward “Pete” and the late Mable. Cherished father of Traci Franklin. Proud grandfather of Brandon, Brittani, Ashli, Alissa, Sarah, Samantha, Spencer and Sophia. Loving brother of the late Russell (the late Mary), Charlene, Alvin (the late Cathy), Dale (Penny), the late Linda and adopted brother Satch (Sharon). Larry will be missed by his dear friend Cheri Franklin and many nieces and nephews. Larry was very proud of his service in the U.S. Army and his job as a Mechanic at the Oakland County Road Commission. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting antiques. He also loved spending time at the local restaurants and donut shop with friends. What Larry enjoyed most was spending time with his family, especially his daughter and grandkids, who were his pride and joy. Burial will be held Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road Holly, MI 48442.
