Jimmy, Kim and Libby, I knew Linda back at Kanawha Baptist Temple in the late 70's and early 80's.  Seems like it was yesterday.  She was the picture of the most graceful lady and the perfect pastor's wife. So lady-like and humble. I know she struggled with diabetes.  I hold you guys close to my heart. She was the best of the best.  I know it's tuff but she is now in Heaven with your brother, rejoicing with Jesus.  It's a time of rejoicing!  She will be missed but she is waiting for all of us.  God bless you kids.

To Jimmy, Kim and Libby, to say I'm sorry for your loss just doesn't seem like enough. But I truly am. I loved Linda and cherish the times we had together. They were just too few.  I loved to hear that unique laugh of hers too. That is always how I remember her. Looking at her photos brought back lots of memories. She was a wonderful person. You were truly blessed to have her for a wife and a mother. I was blessed to have her for my cousin.

To Jim , Kim and Libby we want to say how sorry we are at the passing of your wife and mother.  Linda was a very special woman and loved by all that knew her. We have loved her since the first day we met each other.  She was a beautiful, kind, loving woman.  Most of all you knew she loved her God very much and it shown in all she did.  Just know that each of you are in our prayers and thoughts.  We love each of you and pray that God will give you comfort and keep you near to him.

You do not know me, however, Linda and I started the first grade together in South Norfolk.  We had 3 Linda Rae's and she was odd ball out with the Linda May in our class. We hung out together until Jr. High where we met new friends. I was so happy to see her at our 45 high school reunion. My son was videoing this activity and as life would have it my last name is Phelps. So we had him going as to which Linda Phelps would please step forward. It was a little fun. I have fond memories of going to her home after school and I guess you would say today "hanging out". I have tried to keep up with her through Bobbie. Your family is and will be in my prayers during this difficult. I pray God will wrap his arms around all of you and give you fond memories to get you through the rough days. I'm not sure you remember me from your time at Rochester Hills Baptist but Dad told me about your loss and I wanted you to know that I'm praying for you.

Goodbye to the dearest Mom in the world and to my very best friend.  I just can't imagine life without you in it and not being able to talk to you every day.  I know you are not suffering any longer and that is what I'm holding on to.  You were always there with your strength, love and guidance and your ability to always make things seem right no matter what the circumstances.  You are my rock.  I love you Mom and  I'm going to miss you more than you will ever know.  You will always live forever in my heart!

All l can say about linda is that I always saw beauty lnside and out.  Her taste in clothes,jewerly and shoes were impeckable. She was like an eagles song  timeless, always in tune with the times.  You will be sorely missed and loved. Cindy and simmons

So sorry to hear of Mrs. Coleman's passing. Read about it online. My husbands mother was Annie Phelps and a relative of Willie Phelps. They came from the Berkley section of Norfolk. May God be with your family.

I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to Jim, Kimberly, and Libby, and the rest of Coleman family. I met Jim and Linda some 45 years ago, give or take. From friendship to best friends to one step up(hunting partners)Jim and I became very close and loved Linda equally. I'm still amazed by some of the things she tolerated from Jimmy and I. I am so proud that our friendship has lasted all these years. Linda was a loving wife, a wonderful mother and grandmother and a very dear friend. We will all miss her deeply. I have so many memories of Linda. Her smile, her laugh, and most of all her Faith. I was privileged to know her about 50 years and am thankful for everyday. She will be really missed by all who knew her, especially by me. She was a great wife, and a wonderful mother. To Jimmy and the girls my thought and prayers are with you.

So sorry to know that Linda has passed on. I know she is in a better place --  and no more pain  --  no more pills - no more medications to take --  
It will  take some time to get through the next few days and weeks without her -- because I know you two were very close --  You were blessed to have had her as your wife --  and mother of your kids --

My Wife Linda,

She left her Oxygen, her Insuline Pump, her Glucometer, her Pretizone, her Cialis, her Salt Pills, her Oxymeter, her Carb Counter book, her Jelly Beans, her Glucagon Kit, her Hydrocodon Syrup, her Arbutarol, her Spiriva, her small bowl of Ice Cream, her Walker, her Wheel Chair, her two Daughters, her four Grandchildren, her extended family and friends, and me.

I believe she immediately saw JESUS, and after a time of Heavenly Worship, then short introductions, she saw her precious baby boy Jimmy who had been waiting for this moment for 46 years...for his Mother! "...God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes...no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."

Dear Family,
I am so sorry for the loss of our dear Linda.  I wish I could be there with you but my heart is there.  She will always be a part of me.  No matter how long we went without seeing each other, when we talked time stood still and we were the kids from Hull St. looking for adventure, whether playing in the creek, running thru the park or going to the senior prom. She's on a new adventure now and I know both of our moms were there waiting to greet her and Floogie had her arms open for a big hug.  I will miss my dear cousin more than words can say and look forward to her welcoming me when my time comes.

Libby and family - thoughts and prayers in this very difficult time. Your Mom was one of the most gentle souls I have met. Her graciousness will continue thru you and Hope.

Sometimes words are not enough.  In this case this is true.  The entire Coleman Family is very precious to me for many reasons. (To many to share in this short comment.) So, many owe so much to them for their love and support, me being one.  Linda was always supportive to me, especially in my formative years as a new believer.  She and Jimmy (her husband for 51 years) certainly were used to make a fantastic difference in my life. Behind the curtain yet so much in control of the events that people would experience, was Linda Coleman 

As a friend let me say, thank you for your influence in the beginning steps of my life walking with the Lord.  You will be missed but your life will continue through your beloved family and friends.  It is our prayer that the sweet Savior blesses your family during this time of your absence of presence. Knowing to absent form the body is to be present with the Lord.
