Maryolene was born on June 1, 1948, in Pontiac, Michigan, and was raised the daughter of John and Frances (Seelinger) Abercrombie. She graduated from West Bloomfield High School, class of 1966 and attended Oakland Community College where she met David Veighey. Maryolene married David on May 10, 1969 at Pine Hill Congregational Church in West Bloomfield. She and David raised their three sons in Keego Harbor. Maryolene worked in several jobs over the years, most recently as a tax preparer.
Maryolene loved her family and others with enthusiasm. She was a member of the Pine Hill Congregational Church for most of her life.
Maryolene is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, David Veighey; children Owen (and wife Melissa) Veighey and Kevin Veighey; grandson Cormac Veighey. She was predeceased by her son Tavis Veighey and her parents.
