Maxine was born the daughter of William and Rvarilla (Wiswell) Dafoe in Pontiac, Michigan on March 10, 1935. She graduated from Pontiac Central High School, class of 1953. Maxine married Gerold (Jerry) Geror on May 10, 1956. She and Jerry raised their daughter first in El Paso, Texas and later in Sylvan Lake, Michigan. Maxine served as the bookkeeper at Orchard Lake Country Club for 65 years.
Maxine was a member of Orchard Grove Community Church. She loved her family and enjoyed her work.
Maxine is survived by her loving husband Jerry Geror; daughter Sherry (Reid) Roe; grandchildren Ryan Roe, Alanna (Dan) Scott, Alyssa (Tony) Crank, Morgan Roe, Austin Roe, and Colton Roe; great-grandchildren Easton, Ashton, Sawyer, Henley, and Saylor. Maxine was predeceased by her parents, sister Mary Catherine Paulson-Harris, and brother Max Dafoe.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Maxine’s honor at Orchard Grove Community Church, 850 Ladd Rd Building C, Walled Lake, MI 48390 on December 11, 2021 at 1:00 PM. A luncheon will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations in her memory be made to Orchard Grove Community Church.
