I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR OF MIKE'S PASSING, THE KEMP FAMILY HAS MEANT SO MUCH TO ME. SO MANY GREAT MEMORIES. ABBY AND MICHAEL, MY CONDOLENCES GO OUT TO YOU, YOUR DAD WAS A VERY SPECIAL PERSON, BUT I'M SURE YOU KNOW THAT ALREADY.

Michael was a good friend from a wonderful family. I had known him since we met in 7th grade as a happy person with a generous smile. We will all miss him.

To the children of Mike Kemp

I found your talks of your dad at yesterdays funeral to be very moving. I have taught at Brother Rice since your dad was a student there. I taught him and i coached the Track Team which he competed on. I was there when he worked there. The world will miss people like your father who spread happiness and joy wherever he went. You have all my sympathy. Mike and Abigail you should be very proud to be his children.

I can still see Big Mike at agility drills. Watching him struggle to keep up--absolutley exhausted--never dropping out. Never stopping. Never complaining. He was awesome. A real inspiration.  After high school we became great friends when he was my boss at Strike & Spare and then I was his boss at Coca-Cola. Our weekly Sunday morning golf outings were epic. His kindness, his humor, his strenghth of spirit and his zest of life were unequalled. He was a true Warrior in every sense of the word.

We are so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. Although we had not spoken in many years, Mike was a special part of my high school and college years. Late nights at Strike and Spare, Ho Jo's, and of course the years at Brother Rice. May God bless and keep you Mike.

God Bless you Mike.  It was always good seeing a familiar face at a familiar place for some years after graduation.  My sincerest condolences to your two handsome children.  You will be missed and yes, the world is a better place because you were in it.

We are so sorry that your Dad has passed.  We will miss our fun conversations over the years as well as the occasional ride when we were in need. We knew your Dad from the Keego Harbor Area.  Lance and Erin Spies.

I am so sorry for your loss. Please know you were loved so much by your Father and he spoke frequently about how proud he was of you and how much he appreciated everything you did for him. You brought so much joy into his life. He will be missed by many and I will always remember his big heart.

My heartfelt sympathies to you Nancy, Abigail and Michael on the all too early death of your husband and father. I was friends with Mike and Jim going back to Brother Rice High School. I only met you at the funeral for Jim's all too early death. Mike was a great person and we had a lot of wonderful times together. May God bless him.
