Michael Robert Marion, age 70, of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan passed away Sunday May 3, 2020. Mike was born the son of Lawrence and Janet (Leadbetter) Marion on December 2, 1949 in Windsor, Canada. Michael graduated from Cody High School, class of ’68. Mike attended Schoolcraft College and was issued his Apprenticeship and Training Journeyman’s certification through Shield Tool & Engineering in 1973. Mike was a talented journeyman toolmaker, processor and leader. He helped to establish Sterling Manufacturing & Engineering. Mike married Diane Kleiner and relished family life for 42 yrs. Family life and vacationing together was important to Michael, He did enjoy cars and problem solving, but when it involved his family he enjoyed it most. As a parent Mike went above and beyond to raise his boys to be self sufficient men with strong values so they could succeed in a difficult world. As a friend he was a great guy and willing to lend a hand at a moments notice. Generous to a fault. Mike is survived by his loving wife Diane; children Michael (Michele) Marion, James Marion, and Philip Marion; grandchildren Charles and Elizabeth; and brother Lawrence Marion. He was predeceased by his parents; and his brother Donald Marion. Visitation will be held Friday May 8th, from 1pm until the time of funeral service at 4pm at Family Funeral Care, located at 2904 Orchard Lake Rd in Keego Harbor.
