Phillip Schulz, age 86, of South Lyon, was born November 25, 1937 in Detroit, and passed away September 12, 2024 at home. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Schulz. Loving father of Steve Schulz, Kevin (Josie) Schulz, John Schulz, Kurt (Michelle) Schulz, and Karen Schulz. Proud grandfather of 6 and great-grandfather of 8. Phillip will be missed by numerous other family members and friends. Phillip was preceded in passing by his beloved wife, Dorothy Schulz; his parents, Karl and Phyllis Schulz; and his sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Bob Boyd.
Philip was a former Detroit police officer and detective, with a strong sense of duty and justice. He proudly worked security at the 1980 Republican National Convention, reflecting his dedication to his values as a staunch Republican. Despite his deep commitment to his work, nothing was more important to him than his family, whom he loved dearly.
