Anita Pearl Williams, 89, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2025. Born on March 24, 1935, in Crockett, Texas, Anita lived a life full of love, dedication, and service.
She spent many years in Killeen, Texas, where she built a warm and welcoming home for her family. As a devoted wife to Billy Ray Williams, she embraced the life of an Army wife with grace and strength, supporting her husband and family through every challenge and triumph. She was a wonderful mother, always offering wisdom, kindness, and unwavering love.
Anita was also a talented and accomplished secretary, dedicating many years to the Civil Service. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and strong work ethic made a lasting impact on those she worked with.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Billy Ray Williams; her mother, Geneva Lowery; her father, Melvin Lowery; and her sister, Essie Langford.
She is survived by her loving children, Bobby and Lourna Williams and Linda Sanford; her cherished grandchildren, Brian Williams, Bradley and Raychelle Williams, David Sanford, Daniel Sanford, and Zachary Closas; and her adored great-grandchildren, Danielle, Ashton, Dilon, Kaili, Aiden, and Sora. She is also survived by her dear brothers, Johnie Lee and Rinthie Lowery, Leon and Kathy Lowery, Billy and Doris Lowery, and Dennis and Cindy Lowery, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Anita will be laid to rest at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, where she will join her beloved husband, Billy Ray. While she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, resilience, and dedication will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

A memorial service will be held to honor her life, on March 5, 2025 at 11:30 am at Crawford- Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, Texas. Viewing will be at 10:30 am.
