Carmon "Bill" William Cave Sr.

CPT Cave was born February 5, 1952 in San Angelo, Texas to Claude Carmon and Nellie Pearl Cave. He received his Associates in Fire Science at Texas A&M University and received the 1995-96 Texas Classroom Teachers Association Friends of Education Award. He served in the Killeen Fire Department from December 1971 to February 2002. He worked as the School Nurse at Willow Springs Elementary and volunteered as the PTA President, Ellison High School Quarterback Club President, Baseball Booster Club President and summer baseball coach. He was very proud to be a Father, Husband, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather. He was very dedicated to his service to the City of Killeen as a Captain/Firefighter and the Killeen Independent School District.

Survivors include his mother in law Jo Ruthe Biddy, sister Beverly Sue Brown-Hebert, his 3 children Christina Wynne Cave, Carmon William "Billy" Cave Jr and his wife Joy, Christopher Wayne Cave and his wife Ellen, 14 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be on Friday, October 31, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, Texas. Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 1, at 1:00 PM at Memorial Baptist Church in Killeen, Texas.
