Cheryl Louise Cooley

Cheryl Louise Cooley, 61, of Killeen, passed away December 9, 2015 in Killeen, TX. A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Killeen on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Killeen.

Cheryl was born on September 18, 1954 at Fort Hood, Texas to Louis and Cherrie Angel. She retired from KISD in 2009 after working for over 25 years as a teacher. Cheryl enjoyed reading, singing, writing and spending time with her family. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church for over 30 years, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, and worked in the church nursery.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Ray Cooley; sons, John Hadley and Jonathan Louis; father, Louis Angel; brother, Michael Louis Angel and niece, Cheri Janette Truesdell.

Survivors include her son, James Loren and wife Stephanie; mother, Cherrie Angel; sister, Linda Angel and husband Stephen Watford; brother, Harold and wife Elizabeth Angel; grandchildren, Susan, Austin, Noel, Zyler and Zane, and great-grandchildren, Branton and Ethan.
