Services for Doris Maxine Sampson Tealer, 69, will be held Monday, May 9, 2011 at 12:00 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, Killeen. The viewing for Mrs. Tealer will be at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Doris was born in Austin, TX on February 17, 1942 to James Edward and Clarice C. Sampson. She was married on December 29, 1964 to Robert Allen Tealer of Taylor, TX for 44 years until his death in June of 2009. Doris was an active military wife, caring for her husband and children through many duty stations, until Sgt. Tealers retirement at Ft. Hood. They made the Killeen-Harker Heights communities their home.
Doris was the loving mother to ten children and worked tirelessly to give them a wonderful home. She was known for her July 4th family Barbeques. She was an avid collector of things and friends, and will be mourned by all.
Doris is survived by eight of her ten children, fourteen grandchildren and one great grandson, two sisters and one brother.
