

Funeral services for Doris Jean Turnbo, 70, of Killeen will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 8, 2011 in the First Baptist Church of Trimmier. Rev. Jeff Mc Anally and Rev. Weldon Hicks will officiate with burial to follow in the Killeen City Cemetery.
Mrs. Turnbo was born January 26, 1941 Kopperl, Texas to Jack and Evelyn (Winsett) Campbell.
She married Larry G. Turnbo on February 14, 1958 in Killeen and he preceeded her in death on January 30, 2009.
Doris worked for the Killeen I.S.D. as a Teacher's Aide, assisting children with Dyslexia.
Doris lived an amazing life of grace and compassion. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and said of her family and her Lord, "I've been loved well by my family but best of all by my Savior Jesus Christ." Her family is grieving but celebrating that she is now truly home, reunited with the love of her life, and worshiping her Savior.
Doris will be greatly missed by a loving family including: daughter Debbie Turner and her husband Billy Paul of Cedar Park; daughter Tammy McAnally and her husband Jeff of Marble Falls; three grandchildren, Zach, Seth, and Grace McAnally; step-grandchildren, Billy Turner, his wife and children Tiffany, Tyler and Mackenzy of Liberty Hill; and Tami Barclay and her husband and son, Trever and Kade of Killeen; one brother Kenneth Campbell and wife Julaney of Burelson; sisters Jackie Towler and husband Vernon of Burleson, Shyrel Linthicum and husband Ralph of Joshua, Joan Shelton and her husband Jack of Burleson, Angie West and her husband Ray of Burleson; and many more very close in-laws, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Larry and Doris Turnbo Amazing Summer Kid's Scholarship Fund, c/o Cross Stone Church, P.O. box 734, Marble Falls, TX 78654.
Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.
