

She was born to the late John and Dorothy McCormick, 2 October, 1922 in Norwich, New York. Dorothy graduated from Vincentian Institute, Albany, New York in 1940. She married the late Neil Kelly Farrell in 1946. They lived in many military towns both in the United States and Europe before settling in Killeen, Texas in 1961.
Dorothy was a member of the Fort Hood Roman Catholic Community (served as Eucharistic Minister), The Retired Officer's Wives Club, American Ex-Prisoners of War Organization, The Bluebonnet Girl Scout Council, and Crossroads to Texas Quilt Guild. Dorothy loved to sew and read to pass her time. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends.
Dorothy was a Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother to her family. She had a successful career in raising and caring all of them. She is survived by three daughters, Diane and Matt Smith of Novato, CA; Lynne and Tony Battaglia of Petaluma, CA; and Judy and Tom Thompson of Austin, TX. She also is survived by eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Neil Kelly Farrell; her son, Stephen John Farrell and her brothers, John and Dorothy McCormick of Florida and Robert McCormick of Albany, New York.

There will be a Rosary recited on Friday, 29 May 2015 at 6:30 PM, followed by a visitation from 6 - 8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 30 May 2015 at 11 :00 AM in the chapel of Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, 1615 S. Fort Hood Rd., Killeen, TX. Burial will be privatley in the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
