Exavier received his High School Diploma in 2000 and subsequently pursued a major in music production at Full Sail University, a distinguished institution renowned for its music production education. He later continued his academic endeavors at Central Texas College.
Exavier demonstrated exceptional dedication and accomplished several career milestones including being named one of the youngest in a management role at the Lowes Home Goods Store in Killeen, Texas. He later joined the United States Army and saw a world view stationed in South Korea, where he continued to pursue his interests in boxing, music, singing, and dancing. Throughout his military service, Exavier received several commendations, honors, and medals, culminating in his final deployment at Okinawa, Japan.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Willie Mae Ruffin and paternal grandmother, Barbra Jean Washington.
He leaves behind cherished memories with his loving parents, Michael and Debra Hughes ; two brothers, Michael Hughes Jr. (Danyel) and Juwan Hughes; two nephews, Michael Hughes III and Elijah Hughes; a niece, Jamila Hughes, all of Killeen, TX. Three uncles, Herbert (Petra) Ruffin, Frankfurt, Germany, James (Regina) Ruffin, Atlanta, Georgia, and Andrew (Sabrina) Ruffin, Manassas, Virginia; one aunt, Lucinda (Reginald) Strozier, Atlanta, Georgia. Exavier is deeply cherished and will be fondly remembered by a host of relatives and friends.
A Visitation for Exavier will be held Friday, May 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home.
A Service will occur Friday, May 17, 2024 at 1:00 PM. A Committal Service with honors will occur Monday, May 20, 2024 at 9:00 AM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
