Gordon Alexander Davis (G.A.) was born May 10, 1931 in Marks, Mississippi. He retired at the rank of SFC from the United States Army, and received numerous medals and awards throughout his military career. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion.
His long Journey through the dark world of Alzheimer’s is now at its end. He fought a battle that lasted more than 20 years, but this horrible disease finally claimed his life on March 26, 2017. He is at peace now and left this world knowing he was loved and didn’t face his ultimate fate alone.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and his wife, Rosie Davis.
He is survived by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or any veteran’s organization.
We would like to thank all who helped care for him daily: the VA homebased care, Heights Home Health, Gentiva Hospice, and Brigitte Carter.
