G. S. Griffin, 79, passed away January 9 at his home in Killeen. A visitation is scheduled for January 14, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Killeen with graveside services to follow at Killeen City Cemetery.
G. S. was born in Killeen, Texas and was employed by the Killeen Police Department for 32 years before retiring as Deputy Chief.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Dean Griffin; a son, Gary Griffin (wife Irene) of Austin; a grandson, Nicholas Griffin; a granddaughter, Noreen Griffin; a brother A. L. (Cotton) Griffin, Sr.; a brother-in-law, Jack Mather; a sister-in-law Vera Griffin, and numerous nieces and nephews.
