Henry Philip Jones

Henry Phillip Jones, age 78 of Harker Heights passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015. He was born in Thibodaux, Louisiana to Charles S Jones and Mary L (Gray) Jones. Henry graduated from St Lucy’s High School in 1956 and attended Central Texas State. He married the love of his life Yong C (Yi) Jones in Seoul, Korea on September 3, 1967.

Henry served his country in the U.S. Army from 1956 to1976 where he retired as (SSG) Staff Sargent. After retirement he joined the US Postal Service of Harker Heights from 1978 to 2001 as a Mail Clerk; he greatly enjoyed the interaction with the customers.

He enjoyed bowling, especially the bowling leagues he participated in and he was a Lector 5 Knight of The Knights of Columbus at Saint Joseph Catholic Church of Killeen, Texas.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Mary, his siblings Lucian Jones, Francis Jones, Charles Jones and Patrick Richardson and stepfather Chester Richardson.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Yong Jones and beloved son Rabin Jones.

Visitation will be held at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home on Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00pm with Rosary at 7:00pm. The funeral service will be Monday, December 28, 2015 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church at 10:00am with burial to follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery with full Military Honors.
